In a disgusting incident which was caught on camera, Tripura minister was seen groping a woman ministerial colleague on stage during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Agartala on Saturday (February 9, 2019).
The video is repeatedly being circulated on social media platforms where Tripura minister identified as Monoj Kanti Deb can be seen putting his hand in the waist of Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Santana Chakma in an obscene manner following which the young tribal leader quickly pushed away BJP minister’s hand.
Tripura’s opposition Left Front also demanded state Minister Monoj Kanti Deb to be sacked for “touching” his woman ministerial colleague in an “inappropriate manner”.
“Monoj Kanti Deb must be sacked and be arrested for touching the woman minister in an extremely indecent manner on the stage from where Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and others addressed the public gathering,” Left Front convener Bijan Dhar told the media.

“The male minister has publicly harmed the modesty, sanctity and dignity of the lone woman minister of Tripura at a public platform where the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister and other important personalities were present.”
Following this indecent incident, even the tribal-based parties demand the resignation and arrest of the minister.
“How can this be possible and, that too, in the presence of the Prime Minister and a large crowd? Someone has to be of very dirty mentality to doctor the video of a programme. I was trying to come forward,” Deb told TOI
