Noida turned out to be a snowy town on Thursday evening and the netizens called it as ‘winter wonderland’. The streets, roads and highways were covered in hailstones, in what seemed straight out of foreign countries.

It was after almost a decade that Delhi and other areas in the vicinity saw such heavy hailstorm. Locals, passersby were astonished to see it and they couldn’t believe it at first sight. Thrilled by it, they took snaps and posted it on social media.
Noida’s Sector 93, Sector 137 and Yamuna Expressway were the highlight among the hailstone-covered areas.

Delhi recorded minimum temperature at 15 degrees on Thursday. Due to bad weather, as many as 23 domestic and 9 international flights were diverted out of Delhi. news agency ANI reported.
“Minimum temperatures are likely to fall by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius over northwest India from February 8. A fresh western disturbance is likely to affect the whole of northwest India from February 10 onwards,” a weather department bulletin said.

At least 16 Delhi-bound trains were delayed by 2 to 6 hours due to dense fog and low visibility on Thursday.
