There is no hiding to the fact that Jammu and Kashmir has been heavily disturbed by intense terrorism for decades. Netizens ran through a hell-like experience and had nowhere to escape but to surrender at the hands of the enemies.

Deadly incidents like Stone pelting, firing and teargas shells have claimed around thousand lives. Some districts of the region were exposed to terrorism such as Pulwama, Rajouri, Shopian and others, where frequent encounters took place between terrorists and security personnel. But now, good news comes as at least one of the regions is now declared a terrorist-free state.
On Wednesday the police said that Baramulla district in the north of J&K became the first region to neutralise all hiding terrorists, as reported by news agency ANI. This news comes a day after 3 terrorists were eliminated in Binner area of the district.

Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir Dilbag Singh told ANI, “Baramulla has become the first district of Kashmir with no surviving militant as on date. Jammu and Kashmir Police extends its thanks to the local population for all their support in providing a better security environment in the district.”
The terrorists were Suhaib Farooq Akhoon, Mohsin Mushtaq Bhat, residents of Baramulla and Nasir Ahmad Darzi from Sopore. It has been said that arms and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists.
