Microsoft founder Bill Gates could teach all of us a bit about humility in today’s world. Though he is one of the richest men on the planet with a staggering net worth of $95.6 billion, he behaves like any of us.
A former Microsoft employee posted Bill Gates’s picture where he can be seen patiently waiting in a queue at Dick’s hamburger joint in Seattle. It has been learnt that the billionaire stood out there in the cold, wearing a red jacket as you can see in the picture below.
The person who clicked this picture, Mike Galos wrote: “When you’re worth about $100,000,000,000, run the largest charity in the history of the world and stand in line for a burger, fries and Coke at Dick’s like the rest of us…”
Moments after uploading the photo, it spread like wildfire on social media. Bill Gates has earlier spoken about his love for burgers. He said, “But once you get much beyond that (wanting to have millions of dollars), I have to tell you, it’s the same hamburger. Dick’s has not raised their prices enough.”
Mike Galos also added that Gates is incredibly humble in spite of all his celebrity status and mind-boggling fortune. He added, “Bill’s not big on attention but is generally friendly and understands he’s a bit of a celebrity…I’ve chatted with him at parties before but on the street or in a restaurant I don’t know him well enough to go over and say hi.”
