The government is all set to launch a new 100-rupee coin presenting the image of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. As per the reports, the coin will weigh 35 grams, which will have a portrait of Atal Bihari Vajpayee on one side of the coin and on the other side, it will have the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with “Satyameva Jayate” inscribed below as per the Devanagari script.
“The inscription ‘अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी’ in Devanagri script including ‘Atal Bihari Vajpayee’ in English would be written on the top left periphery as well as the top right periphery of the coin. The year ‘1924’ and ‘2018’ in international numeral shall be flanked at the bottom of the portrait,” read an online statement.
