Diwali is just hours away from its pace and the people can’t just wait the moment to open the seal of firecrackers’ box to light crackers on a special day. There were widespread speculations about banning crackers in this country once and for all which took everyone by a shock.
The environment has already gone from bad to worse owing to pollution. However, the Supreme Court gave a final verdict that there will be not a complete ban on bursting crackers but instead has ordered the people to follow certain rules. Majority of the people expressed their frustration on social media regarding the restrictions of bursting crackers on festivals.
The supreme court in its strict order has stamped restrictions on the timings between which firecrackers can be burst on the occasion of festivals. On Diwali, the Supreme Court had passed an order setting the time for fireworks between 10:00 PM and 12:00 PM. However, it had to modify its order for several other states considering the fact that several southern and north-eastern states have a distinct approach and timing towards celebrating Diwali.
As far as Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and other southern states, firecrackers can be burst from 4 am to 5 am and from 9 pm to 10 pm during Diwali as the total duration has been restricted to just two hours.
