The heart-touching gesture from the police is being lauded widely on social media. Police in Telangana deployed at an examination centre worked beyond their call of duties only to take care of a six-month-old baby while his mother was writing the exam. The five constables who belong to the Mahankali Police Station in Hyderabad on Saturday were attending to the infant, while the mother attended competitive exam without any fuss.
We might have also seen the pictures and a video on social media depicting police cradling the baby in arms and feeding the baby a bottle of milk. As per the information in Mumbai Mirror, the woman reached at Parsi School in Secunderabad to take the exam and was accompanied by her mother in a bid to take care of her baby for time being.
However, the elderly lady had some difficulty in controlling the baby as the latter was crying constantly. She tried her best to console the crying baby and then came the constables Vara Prasad, Diwakar, Yellaiah, Sudheer and Dinesh to the spot to help the grandmother.
Watch the video below to get a clear picture on the incident:
“We appreciated our constables for their humane gesture. We have recommended them for rewards which include an appreciation letter,” Mahankali Police Inspector, Varla Jayapal Reddy said.
Well, this is not the first time that this touching incident happened in Telangana. Some ten days ago, a constable too rushed to the spot to console the crying baby while the mother took the cadet exam. IPS Officer Rema Rajeshwari also took to Twitter to praise the constable for his humane act.
“Head Constable Officer Mujeeb-ur-Rehman (of Moosapet PS) who was on duty for conducting SCTPC exam in Boys Junior College, Mahbubnagar trying to console a crying baby, whose mother was writing exam inside the hall,” she wrote.
