Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday, said that India will spice it up in launching a new policy to promote more electric vehicles. While addressing industry executives at Move’ which is a global summit in the capital organised by policy think tank NITI Aayog, PM Modi added that the country would go any extent to mark the start of electric mobility in the best way possible as he believes that there is a great scope for economic growth and ease living.
“We want to drive investments across the value chain from batteries to smart charging to electric vehicle manufacturing. We will soon put in place a stable policy framework for electric and alternate fuel powered vehicles. Policies will be designed as a win-win for all and will enable huge opportunities in the automotive sector, “ Modi told industry leaders according to Livemint.com.
