By witnessing the virtue of all these recitals from the Indian players, we can come to a firm conclusion that India’s sporting future is in safe hands now.
The 29-year-old Indian shooter who shot 219.3 to clinch the bronze medal even expressed his happiness talking to the media. “I feel happy that I could do this for India. I feel great. I was a little nervous in the final but later I calmed down, I am happy with my performance,” he told PTI.
In the 5th series, he did his best and shot a couple of 10.7s to surge himself ahead into medal contention. He and another bright prospect Manu Bhaker had tumbled in the mixed team event as they fail to qualify for the final.
Talking about the missed opportunity that went begging, he said, “The fact that Manu and I failed to qualify in the mixed team, we were not disappointed. We learnt a lot.”
