It has been a tough time for Kerala citizens as heavy showers continue to trouble the city. In the process, waterlogging paralysed normal life. The severe effects of monsoon were witnessed when 37 people died due to the flash flood.
Due to these natural calamities, people got affected very badly. However, the state saw real heroes emerge as saviours for the victims. The selfless people, who, without even caring for their own life, sprung into action to give a helping hand to the sufferers.
One such district that got badly affected due to the flash flood and landslide was Idukki. Thanks to the heroes who stepped in at the right place and at the right time on the ground and helped to bring some good optimism to an otherwise serious situation. One of the heroes who hit the headlines was Vishu, who is a blanket seller.
One needs a big heart to donate their own things to others and Vishnu proved that he is worth the weight in gold as he donated 50 of his blankets to those less unfortunate ones living in a relief camp in Iritty, Kannur.
Hailing from Madhya Pradesh, Vishnu was one of the thousands of such blanket sellers in Kerala. The moment he came to know that most people lost their valuables, he stepped forward and did something great that not many in his position would have dreamt of.
