Gautam Gambhir is one of the pioneering cricketers in Indian cricket history. His prolific contributions have never been in doubt. His attacking style of play sends tingles down the fans’ spine. He is the man who performed in both finals – ICC WorldT20 2007 & ICC ODI World Cup 2011.
He never ceases to amaze us, not just on the field but off the field too. Once Gautam Gambhir said that country comes ahead of anything else for him. He truly meant it. He paid tribute to martyrs of Kargil Vijay Diwas before celebrating his wife’s birthday on the same day.
“It’s only apt that nation is paying homage to the late ‘Missile Man’ APJ Abdul Kalam Saab at the back of #KargilDiwas. His death today should not be the end. Lets keep his flame burning. Come on film industry we’ve seen enough of PR biopics, let’s have one on him, let’s inspire…,” Gambhir tweeted.

Isn’t he a great soul and a patriotic man? Yes, he is. Our country needs more people like him. A massive salute to him. Gautam Gambhir is indeed a man of simplicity and generosity. He loves giving it back to the Indian society.
In case if you don’t know what is “KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS”
On July 26, 1999, a fierce war broke out between India and Pakistan where the Indian soldiers displayed exemplary courage. In the process, our soldiers were smart enough to make quick moves. The soldiers climbed the mountains where they had to and they faced bombardments from enemy fire from the hills.
Not just that, they were involved in hand to hand combats. Despite facing such scenarios, our heroes didn’t let the country down and finally, the operation Vijay was declared successful as India trounced Pakistan well and truly in the Kargil war.
The victorious day since then has been identified and celebrated as Kargil Vijay Diwas. In the battle, our nation suffered 527 casualties, in what was the higher Warzone. Apart from that, more than 1300 soldiers were injured. “July 26” is wholly dedicated to our unsung heroes who sacrificed their lives for our motherland.
