We all know how journalism today works and every journalist has a party they tend to incline towards more than they should. Here, we are talking about journalist Rajat Sharma who does not hesitate one bit in showing his dedication towards the ruling party.
Now, the renowned journalist has also been elected as the President for Delhi & District Cricket Association by winning 54.40 per cent of the total cast vote. The elections took place between 27th June and 30th June with the result declaration on Monday.
Sharma’s group swept all the 12 seats in the elections. The journalist got a total of 1531 votes while former Test cricketer Lal could only poll 1004 votes, while advocate Vikas Singh only managed to get 232 votes.
This is what Rajat Sharma tweeted:
“I thank all members of DDCA who voted in the elections and reposed their trust in us. I now invite all the members to join hands to bring about transparency in the functioning of DDCA.”

It might interest you to know that Sharma and his panel’s candidature was backed by a political heavyweight from the ruling party with Narinder Batra who was also the former treasurer of DDCA.
Sharma had nominated himself for the post of the President on 16th May. The Padma Bhushan awardee journalist is the Chairman and Chief Editor of Hindi news channel INDIA TV.
Do you think his win is a mere coincidence or it has something to do with his inclination towards the current party? We would love to know your opinion in the comment section!
