Would you believe students scoring more marks than the total itself? Yes, you read that right! It’s not hilarious. But it is something that needs to be sorted out. It was only years following the infamous topper scam, the Bihar School Examination Board once again stole the spotlight when some class XII students claimed that they garnered more marks than the total
Some other students complained that they got marks in papers when they never turned up for the exams. One of the students, Bhim Kumar from Arwal district, scored 38 out of the total 35 marks in mathematics in theory while 37 out of 35 in the objective-type questions.
Bhim Kumar said that he was not really shocked after seeing the marks because according to him, things like these have been happening in the state board exams. “I am not shocked because such things have been happening in the state board exams for long,” he said.
Likewise, Sandeep Raj hailing from East Champaran got 38 out of 35 in Physics subject (theory). He couldn’t believe his eyes after seeing the results. He added,“How is it possible? I got zero in the objective-type questions in English and Rashtra Bhasha,” he said.
Another candidate Rahul Kumar from Darbhanga scored 40 out of 35 in the objective paper of mathematics, in what is truly shocking. Similarly, Janvi Singh from Vaishali, claimed that she was not present for the biology exam, yet got 18 marks in the subject.
Likewise, Satya Kumar, who appeared for the exam from Ram Krishna Dwarika College in Patna, and was wrongly awarded marks in a paper he never appeared for. Maybe this happens only in Bihar.
