Four scintillating years with the Mumbai Indians where he won the IPL trophy a whopping three times, an unforgettable debut to go with a lot of match winning performances for team India, if at all there’s any bowler in India who is getting all the limelight for the good reasons, its Jasprit Bumrah.

Success didn’t come so easily for the slingy-action fast bowler from Gujarat, who recently helped Gujarat win their first ever Ranji Trophy. But grit, determination and hardwork for a long period of time took Bumrah to the elite most level and he’s just going on and on in life.

But Santok Singh Bumrah, grandfather of Jasprit Bumrah, who resides in Uddham Singh Nagar of Uttarakhand, has an original domicile of Ahmedabad but has been living in the said locality for the last 10 years, driving tempos to earn a livin g since he moved here from Ahmedabad.

Santok Singh apparently is a holder of a very successful business almost two decades ago but after his son  Jasveer Singh Bumrah, Jasprit’s father passed away tragically in 2001, he never recovered. This also led to a huge backdrop in their business and he was left in losses. The family was shattered and to repay the loans, they had to sell their factories and homes.

He moved to Uddham Singh Nagar in 2006 and started a new business with 4 tempos. This business to had left him with losses and he had to sell all the tempos. This left Santok Singh completely devastated financially and mentally and a person who once lived a very lavish life was now left with nothing.

The 84-year-old is currently staying at Uddham Nagar of Uttarakhand and he said in interview with a news channel that he’s very proud of his grandson’s achievements. Well, the devastated look on Santok Singh is really disheartening and we all hope Bumrah takes good care of Grandfather in the times to come.
