Fatima Sana Shaikh impressed one and all with her splendid performance in the film “Dangal” and she got all the fame and attention an actor/actress dreams of. But she is now under the scanner and is getting brutally trolled on social media for uploading a picture on a swim suit during the holy month of Ramadan.
Ramadan is indeed quite holistic time for all Muslims around the globe, but that doesn’t restrict anyone from wearing or doing what they want. Quite certainly, wearing a bikini doesn’t mean she disrespects her religion or the holy festival but people are reacting quite harshly to it.
” To all those who are praising Fatima for this besharmi, I am asking them would you allow your sister to romance with an actor and allow her to wear a bikini in front of the world? I am sure a true would never do that,” wrote another Instagram user.
Few might say this is debatable, but its actually stupid to debate. Whilst there are so many issues halting the progress of this country, the attention shifting towards a girl doing what she wants to is really pathetic.
India is a country where every citizen is given equal rights by the constitution of the country and to slut-shame a woman who is living her life the way she wishes is not a great sign. This might as well be quite a holy month for Muslims, but its not exactly written anywhere that Muslim women have certain dressing protocols to follow during this period of time.
After years of struggle to get a chance in the film industry, Fatima Sana Shaikh finally got an opportunity to play the role of Geeta Kumari Phogat in her biopic “Dangal”, which saw the legendary Aamir Khan play the lead role as Geeta’s father and coach Mahavir Singh Phogat.
She received great compliments and accolades for her breathtaking performance and many directors and producers are currently in waiting list to get her call sheets. The way she is progressing in her life, this shouldn’t really bother the 25 year old in my view.
