V Mohan Abhyas, whose parents sell samosas to earn a living, has done them proud by topping the Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) 2017 and also secured 6th rank in JEE All India rankings that was conducted on April 2, 2017 (offline), April 8 & 9 (online).
This indeed is a heart warming story as Mohan’s family earns around Rs.1,00,000 per annum and their income is not regular as well. For a family who can afford only food at regular intervals, to bear the expenses of education was not easy but they had courage to invest and Mohan paid them off with his spectacular performance.
Money is a barrier to good quality education, that is something no one will avert, but it can never be a barrier for us to earn something and make our parents proud. Mohan is a perfect example of it and he has dedicated his success to his parents, who worked relentlessly for the sake of their child.
Mohan also has a sister who currently is studying in her 10th standard and he wishes to give his parents and sister a good future by joining a good college. He also thanked his teachers for excelling in arguably the toughest exams a student ever goes through.
Mohan aspires to become a scientist and his inspiration is the legendary APJ Abdul Kalam, who showed a righteous path to billions of people across the country and world. He also wishes to join in any of the top 7 IITs in the country and make his parents proud.
Well, these are the kind of stories which makes us believe that life is not all about money. Sometimes, even hardwork does get paid off and Mohan is a remarkable example of this commonly used phrase.
