Two persons stabbed a Gopalpura local man on Wednesday evening, after a slugfest over singer Sonu Nigam’s social media reaction against the mosques using loudspeaker in the early morning every day. Though it appears like Sonu Nigam has now no freedom of speech just like Amir Khan his wife have all freedom to call India ‘an intolerant country’.
Sources indicate that one of the victims, Shivam Rai, had showed his support to Nigam’s tweet against the use of loudspeakers on Mosque top for Azan in a Facebook post. Seeing his mere post on facebook, accused Mohammad Nagori and Faizan Khan got furious and threatened him of severe consequences over the phone.
“Later, they asked me to meet them in Freeganj area. When I reached there with my friend, Ayush Shreewas, they attacked us with knives,” Rai told mediapersons. Shreewas, who sustained serious injuries in his body, was admitted to a hospital.
MS Parmar, the the police officer of the local police station, said a case of attempted murder has been filed against the two under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code. But they have not been arrested yet (till news was written).
