Star Indian wrestler Bajrang Punia settled for a silver medal at the World Championship of the men’s 65 kg freestyle category on Monday. Punia might not have won a gold but he has come a long way to take the second place and did the nation proud. This is Bajrang’s second silver medal at the iconic tournament. Previously, he had bagged a bronze medal in the 2013 edition of the event. After his achievement, he took to his official Twitter handle to dedicate his medal to the victims of a tragic train accident in Amritsar.

He wrote, “I want to dedicate the silver medal at World Wrestling Championships to the people died in the tragic Amritsar train accident. My deep condolences to their families.”

Bajranj Punia proved that he is worth its weight in gold as he had a stellar year so far with two gold medals, one at 2018 Commonwealth Games and other at 2018 Asian Games, to his lofty standards of punching and counterpunching techniques.
