Saina Nehwal settles for Bronze medal in Asian Games 2018

India’s ace shuttler Saina Nehwal settled for the bronze medal at the ongoing Asian Games at Jakarta, Indonesia on Monday. The journey has been not so easy for Saina as she faced tougher challenges as the tourney progressed round after round.

There were a lot of expectations that Saina would give the best shot in the semi-finals but she was thoroughly outclassed by the world no.1 Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei. This painful defeat means that this is Saina Nehwal’s 10th straight defeat at the hands of the world no.1.

Saina Nehwal who is world no.10 and a proud Olympic medalist tried her maximum best to remain sharp in the crunch situations of the game but she lost 17-21, 14-21. Tai Tzu Ying was tactically brilliant and never did she allowed any snippet of the chance to Saina Nehwal to come into the game.

Let’s appreciate Saina Nehwal for giving absolutely everything for the country. At this time, we should encourage her maximum and remain loyal even in her tough times. This is a sign of being a true fan. The Youth wishes Saina Nehwal a good luck in her future endeavours.
