There were 8 children in the van who were happily going to their respective homes from their play school ‘Kidz World’. Unfortunately, two four-year-old kids namely Vidhya Lakshmi and Adithyan S Nair, along with their 35-year-old nanny Latha Unni drowned in the pond and were declared dead by the doctor at PS Mission Hospital.

During a life threatening scenario, Latha was more concerned about saving the lives of the kids first. So, she rescued five children by pushing them out of the van towards the residents who had rushed to the spot to save them. The van driver’s condition is serious as he is in the Intensive Care Unit whereas another five-year-old child is on a ventilator support system.

The sources tell that, Latha got stuck in the window of the van and fell unconscious. Latha was a mother to two twin daughters. She was a daily wage earner. She had extended her valuable contributions with the kids’ school for more than five years.

She will be always remembered for her bravery. Let’s hope that Latha’s family gets financial support. and God bless her soul and two little kids.
