A man hailing from Nigeria buried his father in a luxurious BMW car estimated to be about $66,000 in showroom. The son is identified as Azubuike. He had promised to afford a brand new car for his father but unfortunately his father passed away, as per the reports from Metro.
In order to fulfil the promise, the son burried his father in the car instead of a coffin. The funeral that took place in a village called Ihaiala in Nigeria and the pictures of which were widespread all over social media. However, many people were not really happy with it.
“Buy the car for your parent while he is still alive if you are moneyed and bury them with a decent coffin but this is just being foolish and showing off.
This is the sort of thing that keeps us poor as black people. Insanity and selfishness regardless of that fact that is your cash,” this is how people reacted after coming to know that a son honouring his father by affording a brand new car for his journey one last time.
Similarly, in 2015, Enugu billionaire made the headlines when he buried his mother in a brand new Hummer and in the same year a man was buried in his most-liked car in China.
