Egg seller spends 80% of income on his daughters’ education, Elder daughter studies abroad

At a time when a great many parents hold an opinion that their sons are superior to daughters as daughters leave parents in lurch when they grow up and whatever parents spend on them, is in vain- an egg vendor from Indore has taken the country by surprise.

A few days ago I heard about this man from my friends who told me he struggles a lot to make his daughters’ dream come true. His name is Dinesh Rathod and he wants to see his daughter as a doctor and he works real hard to earn for her.

After his daughter secured good marks in 12th standard, he sent her to Ukraine, which is known for best medical courses, for further studies. The university fee is around 3 Lakh and 40 thousand rupees ($5,000). The amount is indeed quite huge for any vendor but he believes that he lives only for them.

Apart from that, his younger daughter, who studies in one of the best quality schools of the city, is excellent at studies as well. She secured 94% marks in 9th class. Unlike her sister, she wants to become a pilot so that she can take her father to other countries.

“I have no idea what sort of mentality is required to discriminate against daughters, either daughter or son, both are our children and we must have a responsibility to give them best education possible” says Dinesh Rathod to The Youth
